How it works:
At least 3 appointments.
- At the consultation, your dentist will examine your teeth and talk to you about the procedure.
- The next appointment will be for the preparation of the tooth. A final set of impressions will be taken to be sent to the dental lab, the tooth shade-matched and a temporary crown placed.
- At the final appointment, the fit and aesthetics of the crown will be checked, and the dentist will check that you are happy with the appearance before cementing it in place.
- Further appointments may be needed to review the crown and it will be checked at your regular dental check-ups.
Crowns
When a tooth is damaged to the point where it is endangering the tooth, a crown is a beneficial solution. Whether because of a cavity or a crack in the tooth, a tooth can become weak. When this is the case, a crown can protect the tooth by “capping” it or filling in space in the tooth. Crowns can also cover an implant, completing your smile and giving you greater comfort.
Bridges
Are you missing a tooth? When a tooth is missing, the resulting gap is slowly filled with the adjacent teeth. This can cause an uneven bite, gum disease and jaw joint disorders. That is why our team brings you bridge services. With a bridge, an artificial tooth is attached to the neighbouring teeth. This fills the gap and is an excellent alternative to using loose dentures.
